Our September 2018 Basic Box included two of our brand new SketchBox Signature color brushes. Each brush comes pre-filled with vibrant waterbased ink. We included two colors - dark blue and yellow. These brushes have a medium round nylon brush head and produce bold layers of color. Since the ink is waterbased they can be blended easily with water. Create transparent effects or large blocks of color with ease! Next up we included the Metropolitan set of Marabu Graphix aqua pens. These pens provide high-quality, lightfast, waterbased pigment ink that blends perfectly with the ink from your new SketchBox Signature color brushes. This pen has two tips: a fiber brush and a fiber bullet nib for fine detail. Next up we included a new item from Spectrum Noir - the AquaTint brush pen in pink champagne. AquaTint brush pens are filled with bright water- soluble dye-based ink, dispensed through a fine nylon brush. Their colors can be applied as accurately or freely as you want, then blended out with water for transparent washes. Finally we included a Faber-Castell Pitt soft brush in dark indigo. These brush pens have pigmented and lightfast black India drawing ink and a super soft brush nib. The dark indigo is great for outlining and once dry, will not react with water.
